Unlike public libraries, who receive funding primarily from taxes, or academic libraries who are often funded through university endowments, the Rudolf Steiner Library is a unique collection that lives on goodwill and community efforts. This truly remarkable resource needs your support so that we can continue to grow our collection and increase awareness of the works of Steiner.
Ways to donate
Your donation to the Rudolf Steiner Library Circle of Friends is tax-deductible. (For your records, our EIN is 81-1925443.) Below are some of the ways you can donate to the library.

Book donations
We are grateful to receive donations of items that are related to anthroposophy and are in good condition to help expand the current collection and replace older books with newer editions.
Items not needed by the Rudolf Steiner Library may be disposed of through exchange, donation or other means. We are passionate about helping to find new homes for books that the library doesn’t need and do our best to pass on books to other anthroposophic initiatives to help them build up their libraries.
To this end, we have partnered with the Anthroposophic Prison Outreach (APO) and Pitts Theology Library at Emory University in Atlanta. We also organize book sales to benefit the library.
If you would like to donate books to the Rudolf Steiner Library, please fill out our donation form HERE and send it to us via email (rsteinerlibrary@gmail.com) or plain post (see above for address).
In-kind donations
The library has a running wishlist of items that would help our daily operations and long-term goals. Items on our wishlist include:
- New or gently used high-quality printer
- New or gently used high-quality scanner
- BookEye/top-down scanner
- Receipt printer
- Network hard drive
- Carpet squares for redoing the library’s floor
In-kind donations take many forms. Perhaps you have expertise or connections that you would like to share with the library. Or perhaps, dreaming big for a moment, you have a property on which the library might make a new, expanded home. The sky is the limit here!
If you would like to donate something from our wishlist, or have another in-kind donation to suggest, please contact us at rsteinerlibrary@gmail.com to discuss.
